The Event
InfoComm 2022 was a whirlwind — after a two-year hiatus, the engaging trade show came back in full-motion ready to showcase the latest products on the market. We came ready to engage with our partners and spend time with industry colleagues to learn more about our customers’ pain points.
Spectrio attended InfoComm at the Las Vegas Convention Center, June 8th – 10th, 2022. InfoComm is the most comprehensive event for audiovisual solutions that enable integrated experiences.
The event featured notable leaders of our new Business Development Team, Christian Armstrong, director of business development, and Jimmy Hunt, vice president of channel sales at Spectrio.
Members of the show were able to witness some of the industry’s cutting-edge digital signage technology and hardware. The highly-produced event was a great way to meet a vast majority of targeted partners within a couple short periods and a convenient way to view the latest digital displays on the market.
Spectrio’s Speakers
One of the best aspects of attending InfoComm is the first-hand opportunity to participate in discussions about the waves Digital Signage is making in the industry.
Christian Armstrong spoke on two different panels, one on “Making Digital Signage Count and Accountable” and the other titled, “Influential Insiders Discuss Smarter Digital Signage Deployments.”
The first panel detailed how to inspire trust in your audience by utilizing fun and entertaining digital signage that hooks customers. The discussion sparked interest–creating sizzle reels in addition to the testimonials–and attendance was high.
Further, Christian shared the success of piloting a digital signage technology program in the break rooms of a major US retailer. The goal? Raise awareness of customer satisfaction metrics through integrations with several customer feedback management platforms. The result? The platforms allowed the store employees to see their CSAT (customer satisfaction) metric, along with a coaches box, to allow the business to dynamically update performance tips based on how their store was performing. “This program demonstrated an increase in customer satisfaction scores up to 15% in pilot stores with digital signage technology versus pilot stores without digital signage technology,” said Armstrong.
Our Takeaway
Due to our acquisitions, active outbound marketing on LinkedIn, and aggressive trade show activity, the AV/IT industry has shown interest in what Spectrio is doing.
- The most commonly asked question during the panel discussions was, “what is Spectrio going to do next?”
- The second most frequently asked question was, “what is Spectrio going to do with the multitude of platforms?”
This excitement has led to industry leaders asking for potential jobs on the team and partners such as Sony and Sharp proactively approaching Spectrio to join their initiatives.
Overall, InfoComm 2022 was a huge win and a successful trade show necessary for Spectrio–specifically the channel team. It was an excellent opportunity to educate people on what Spectrio offers besides Enplug, Industry Weapon, and ABN.
The Impact
InfoComm 2022 did not disappoint — it was amazing to see all the innovative technology for AV and to participate in discussion panels with major players in the space.
The show was helpful because it gave us a space to identify innovative ways to increase customer satisfaction with digital signage. It also gave us the opportunity to discuss how we can improve our digital signage solutions in the coming year.
Looking forward, we are interested in exploring emerging opportunities with prominent players in the industry like Sony, LG, Peerless, Viewsonic, and more.
Until next year!
